Test number range

Clickatell offers a test number range that will assist in reducing testing costs. Messages sent to any number on a test prefix will only be charged 1/3 of a credit.

When testing the Clickatell gateway, you can use the number 279991xxxxx (for South Africa) or 1999xxxxxxx (for the U.S.) where “xxxxx” represents any set of numbers.

Notes:

• No actual handset receives a message. You can send at whatever speed or quantity required to do your testing.
• The messages will show up in online reports.
• Each message will generate callbacks if you configure/request callbacks.
• For simulation purposes, a message may randomly go into one of the following three statuses: ‘Delivered to gateway’, ‘Received by recipient‘ or ‘Error delivering message‘.
