How do I test my WhatsApp integration?

Once your WhatsApp Business application has been approved, you’ll be able to start sending messages via our REST API. To start testing, you can send free WhatsApp messages to your listed test phone numbers via the WhatsApp Business demo integration enabled on your account. You may register up to three test phone numbers to use for testing in the Sandbox environment. All messages sent to these test numbers will not be charged for.

To add test phone:

  • Add test numbers as part of the wizard when setting up a new API integration; or
  • Select ‘Add a Test Phone‘ from the Launchpad in your Clickatell portal
